Celebrities are in mourning for singer-actress Sulli, 25, who was found dead at her house in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, Monday.
“Please do as Jin-ri (real name of Sulli) likes in that world,” Koo Ha-ra, former member of now-defunct K-pop girl group KARA, wrote on her Instagram. She also posted a photo of herself and Sulli.
Park Gyu-ri, KARA's ex-leader, also wrote, “She was so pretty and bright. Words can't say how I feel now. I hope this world becomes more generous to everyone.”
Mina, formerly of K-pop girl band AOA, said, “Jinri, please do not suffer (there) and be happy.”
Actor Shin Hyun-joon lashed out at online haters, saying, “A precious person has left us again. Online haters, you are cowardly and faceless murderers.”
Several K-pop acts including SuperM, Taeyeon, DAY6 and N.Flying called off their schedules to express sorrow.
Sulli was found dead at her two-story home in Seongnam. A person from her agency SM Entertainment found her body at 3:21 p.m., according to Seongnam Sujeong Police. She is believed to have committed suicide.
Sulli debuted as a child actress in 2005 and as a member of f(x) in 2009 with the album "LA chA TA." She left the group in 2015.
