Boy band NCT 127 has become a rare “million-seller” on the K-pop scene, according to the group's agency SM Entertainment, Thursday.
The 10-piece act's second studio album “NCT #127 Neo Zone” had sold more than 817,000 copies and its repackaged version over 400,000 copies as of May 20, adding up to 1.2 million. They were released on March 6 and May 19, respectively.
“It is the first time for the group to sell more than a million albums since its debut in 2016,” SM said.
“NCT #127 Neo Zone,” which has the lead track “Kick It,” includes 13 songs of various genres, ranging from hip-hop to R&B. The repacked version “NCT #127 Neo Zone: The Final Round” offers four additional numbers including the energetic “Punch,” the pop ballad “Make Your Day” and the dance pop “NonStop.”
NCT 127 ― comprising Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, Haechan and Jungwoo ― debuted with the album "NCT #127." The sub-unit of SM's boy group NCT recently staged an online concert on Naver's V Live and drew over 100,000 paid viewers in 129 countries.
