Late Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon's handwritten will was made public on Friday.

His chief secretary Go Han-seok revealed it to the media after gaining consent from the bereaved family. The memo was found on Park's desk at his residence, according to Go.

“I'm sorry to all,” it says.
“I thank all who were in my journey in life.
“I have always felt sorry for my family who had only a hard time being with me.
“Please cremate (my body) and scatter (the ashes) at the grave of my parents.
“Goodbye to all.”
