KBS program "Music Bank" has apologized after making an error in the rankings of its weekly chart released on July 24.

It has now changed last week's winner from BLACKPINK to EXO-SC.

"We sincerely apologize for the confusion," the apology posted on "Music Bank's" official website said. "Last week's winner should have been EXO-SC. BLACKPINK should have ranked No. 2. We made a mistake in calculating the 'broadcast frequency,' which is one of the criteria we use to decide the ranking."

According to the program, the weekly ranking is calculated based on digital streaming (65 percent), broadcast frequency (20 percent), audience preference (10 percent) and album sales (5 percent).

"We will strive to prevent the recurrence of an incident like this," it said.

On last week's "Music Bank," EXO-SC's "1 Billion Views" and BLACKPINK's "How You Like That" competed for No. 1 spot.

In May 2016, "Music Bank" made a similar mistake and had to switch the winner from AOA to TWICE.
