K-pop girl group Mamamoo has topped the iTunes Top Album chart in 29 regions with its new album “TRAVEL.”
The group's agency RBW said the mini-album's title song “AYA” also took top spot on the iTunes Top Song chart in 12 regions.
“TRAVEL,” which has six tracks, is the group's first album since its second full-length album “reality in BLACK” last year.
“We hope people can soothe their wanderlust through listening to our album 'TRAVEL' during this tough time (of the COVID-19 pandemic). It intends to offer consolation to our fans,” the group said through the agency Thursday.
The group ― comprised of Hwasa, Sola, Wheein and Moonbyul ― debuted in 2014 with the single "Don't Be Happy," featuring singer Bumkey.
It shot to stardom soon after, releasing a string of hits, including "Mr. Ambiguous," "Um Oh Ah Yeh" and “Starry Night."
