Asia Model Festival Global (AMF Global) has inked a contract with American investment company Del Morgan & Co. to attract a 110 billion won ($100 million) investment.
AMF Global is affiliated with the Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC), which hosts the annual Asia Model Festival, the region's largest project involving the search for models. The company has launched several brands including Vanilla VV and promoted them during the Asia Model Festival.
AMF Global said Tuesday that it signed a deal with the San Francisco-based company on Jan. 12 to establish its U.S. branch ― AMF Global USA. INC ― in Delaware and expand its media commerce and digital entertainment content businesses.
The company added that AMF Global USA. INC will focus on discovering model influencers and running a training institution for aspiring models.
“We hope this cooperation gives us an opportunity to target the global market,” AMF Global's CEO Lee Chang-yong said.
The 2020 Asia Model Festival took place online last December, with 77 contestants from 24 Asian countries taking part in the event.
