Actors Lee Jae-wook and Jung So-min will be co-starring in the upcoming tvN series, "Return," scheduled to go on air later this year.
The network announced the lineup of the series' cast members, Thursday, which included the two lead actors, along with K-pop singer and actor Hwang Min-hyun and Netflix's "D.P" star, Shin Seung-ho.
The fantasy series is the latest project of the star writer duo, sisters Hong Jeong-eun and Hong Mi-ran, who have scripted various hit series, such as the romance series, "The Master's Sun" (2013) and "Hotel Del Luna" (2019).
Directed by Park Joon-hwa, who led the 2018 rom-com, "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?" the new series will follow a nobleman, Jang Wook (Lee), and his servant Mu Deok (Jung) in a fictional country called Daeho from the past.
Jang is a troublemaker who has a secret regarding his birth. His life takes a turn when he encounters Mu, who has the spirit of an elite warrior trapped inside the weak body of his servant.
Hwang will play a man from another noble family, Seo Yool, who is good-looking, generous and smart. Shin will be playing the crown prince of the country, Go Won.
Jung debuted with a supporting role in the 2010 romance series, "Bad Boy," and has taken leads in various TV series, including the family drama, "My Father Is Strange" (2017), and the rom-com, "Because This Is My First Life" (2017).
Lee debuted as a model and became familiar to the public as an actor after landing a supporting role in the 2019 romance series, "Search: WWW." Since then, he has starred in various series such as the rom-com, "Extraordinary You" (2019).
