Typhoon Hinnamnor exits S. Korea leaving 11 dead, one missing



Super Typhoon Hinnamnor moved out of South Korea early Tuesday morning about 2 1/2 hours after making landfall on the southern coast, leaving 11 dead, one missing and thousands others evacuated, authorities said.

Nearly 15,000 people were also advised to evacuate, while some 20,334 homes suffered power outages.

The typhoon also left many highways and roads across the country closed, including several sections of the Olympic highway that runs through Seoul as of Tuesday morning.
