Korean singer Jung Joon-young, a key figure in the Burning Sun scandal, who was recently released after serving a five-year prison sentence for multiple sex crimes, has been reportedly spotted in Lyon, France, approaching women in a bar.

An X user (@hobikookt) uploaded an online post, Sunday, claiming the recent sighting of Jung in the French city. In the photo, an Asian man the writer claims to be Jung is seen with long hair and a beard, smiling.

According to the uploader, “He was at a bar trying to flirt with women, asking for their Instagram accounts and saying he plans to open a Korean restaurant in Lyon. He introduced himself as ‘Jun,' claiming to be a famous singer in Korea.”

The online user went on to describe her encounter with Jung at a club in Lyon where the drinks order came out wrong and Jung approached her to offer to take the drinks and started up a conversation. The post has over 1,800 retweets and 2,200 likes as of 2 p.m., Tuesday.

“Watch out girls! Five years of prison term is not enough for a dangerous man like him. I see very well that he still plays with women,” she said. She added that she also has a video of him approaching, but is too afraid to post or share it online.

Although it is yet impossible to determine whether the witness is telling the truth, Jung previously attempted to open a Korean restaurant in Paris in 2018, which failed once the Burning Sun scandal erupted.

Online users, who saw the post criticized the sex criminal, “How dare he walk around with his face showing so proudly,” “People don't seem to change,” “I don't think he came to his senses,” and “Is he going to leave the country, too?”

According to local news reports, Jung has been allegedly preparing to immigrate overseas.

Jung was sentenced to a five-year prison term in September 2020 for intoxicating women and sexually assaulting them with singer Choi Jong-hoon in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province in January 2016 and Daegu in March 2016.

He is also accused of distributing illegally filmed sex videos of women 11 times in group chat rooms over several months in 2015.
