Tickets for paid seating at the upcoming 19th Busan Fireworks Festival, scheduled for Nov. 9, went on sale at 2 p.m. Monday.

According to Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Culture and Tourism Festival Organizing Committee, the paid seats for the fireworks festival are divided into two categories: R seats, which include a table and chairs, and S seats, which provide only chairs.

The paid seating areas are located on the beach in front of the Aqua Palace Hotel and Homers Hotel in Gwangalli. Ticket prices are set at 100,000 won ($75) for R seats and 70,000 won for S seats.

Tickets can be purchased through the official ticket distributor, YES24, and the Busan Bank mobile banking app. All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to enhance the festival's fireworks display, improve convenience and safety facilities for spectators, hire security and guides and generally raise the event's quality.

Previously, early bird tickets, which went on sale on Aug. 21, sold out in about 20 minutes, indicating high interest in the festival. Last year, all 8,200 paid seats were reported to have sold out.

The Busan Fireworks Festival began in 2005 as a commemorative event for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and has grown into one of Busan's signature festivals and tourist attractions, drawing approximately 1 million visitors each year.

This year, the festival will feature an enhanced fireworks display utilizing the iconic Gwangan Bridge, promising a spectacular and beautiful night sky.

The event will take place at Gwangalli Beach and Dongbaek Island, beginning with pre-programs such as Fireworks Street, Fireworks Talk Show and the opening ceremony, followed by the main events, including the International Invitational Fireworks Show and the Busan Multi-Fireworks Show.
