Shin Ha-yool, an 11-year-old girl from Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, was known for her kindness and thoughtfulness. In July, she suddenly collapsed and, despite efforts to save her, was pronounced brain dead.

Later, her mother made the difficult decision to donate five of her organs as a way to remember her only daughter.

According to the Korea Organ Donation Agency, Ha-yool's heart, lungs, liver and kidneys were successfully transplanted to those who needed organ transplants on July 31.

Her mother remembered Ha-yool as active and mature beyond her years. At one point, she even canceled her savings account to give the money to her mother, who was struggling with her new business.

The daughter also loved reading and had dreams of becoming a lawyer.

"Ha-yool, I was so happy to be your mother. I love you still. No matter where you are, stay positive and kindhearted as you always were," her mother said.

She also wished for a full recovery for the organ recipients, hoping that Ha-yool's kindness would live on through them.
