GS Group has clinched a partnership with Notion, a U.S.-based organizational tool software developer, in efforts to strengthen the group's artificial intelligence (AI)-powered corporate culture, both firms said Thursday.
Notion is renowned for its online productivity app for project management. The startup has more than 100 million users across the globe.
GS aims to take advantage of Notion's database in developing its generative AI software. By using the platform, GS does not have to take any additional steps to process accumulated datasets, so Notion makes it easier for GS to build a group-wide AI-driven work environment, according to the conglomerate.
Both companies also agreed to set up a hotline to boost their technological exchanges, so they can create more business collaborations and set more successful examples in corporate digital transformation.
In recent years, GS Group has gone all-out to achieve rapid digital transformation with the rise of AI and big data. The group's key affiliates, such as GS Engineering & Construction and GS Energy, have already adopted Notion's tool to carry out work more efficiently, the company said.
"GS Group hopes to keep expanding the partnership with Notion to use it as a key building block for our innovation," GS Group Vice President Kim Jin-ah said.
"We will speed up our digital drive so GS can build group-wide corporate culture, handling tasks with AI and digital tools."
GS also expects the latest partnership to be integrated with the firm's existing no-code generative AI development tool. By using the tool, employees without any coding experience are able to produce generative AI without the help of a software engineer.
For instance, GS Entec succeeded in interconnecting the tool with Notion and developed an education platform for its staff. This allowed them to create educational data in only five seconds, which took almost two hours in the past.
