Hana Financial Group organized the 2024 Hana Waves Conference to cultivate future women leaders, the group said Tuesday.

“Waves” stands for Women's Actions, Voices and Emotions, reflecting its aim of making waves of innovation through the actions, voices and emotions of women. The program has trained 120 women leaders since its launch in 2021.

The participants completed courses in diverse sectors, such as humanities studies, speech and digital, and tackled courses on seeking innovations in global financial service, customer expansion and synergy creation between affiliates.

“Customers are the core assets of Hana Financial Group, and leaders should search for solutions in the field. I hope that you all become leaders who grow with other employees and navigate with the group toward its destination,” Hana Financial Group Chairman Ham Young-joo said.

The group plans to expand the leadership program as well as continue its contributions to nurture women in society.
