The King Sejong Institute Foundation (KSIF) signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam's national educational broadcaster, VTV7 on Dec. 20 at the VTV7 headquarters in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The MOU focuses on expanding Korean language and culture through mutual exchange, producing related broadcast content, and pursuing long-term promotion initiatives.

Through this agreement, both organizations plan to strengthen their collaboration to systematically spread Korean language and culture in Vietnam. VTV7 is the Vietnamese equivalent of Korea's EBS.

VTV7, headed by President Nguyen Thi Kim Hoa, has been collaborating with the KSIF to co-produce and broadcast Korean language education programs. Since the first broadcast of the program "Let's Speak Korean!" in 2021, its popularity has led to the production and airing of Season 2 in 2023 and Season 3 in 2024.

"It is significant to solidify this ongoing collaboration with VTV7 in Vietnam, where interest in learning Korean is exceptionally high," said Bae Jong-min, secretary-general of the foundation. "Through this partnership, we hope more Vietnamese people will become familiar with Sejong Institutes and find it easier to learn the Korean language and culture."
