S-Oil donated 2 billion won ($1.37 million) to the Community Chest of Korea, bringing its total donations to the charity organization since 2004 to 27 billion won.
According to the refiner, its CEO Anwar Al-Hejazi and President Ryu Yul participated in the organization's 2025 Hope Sharing Campaign in Jung District, central Seoul, on Thursday, where they delivered the donation.
The donation will be used to support low-income households and vulnerable communities, as well as fund programs assisting volunteers, social welfare centers, and other charity organizations.
Last year, S-Oil donated 3 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea.
"In the New Year of 2025, S-Oil will continue to uphold its core value of sharing, by helping those in need and making contributions to society," Al-Hejazi said in a statement.
