Press reports said she decided to star in the tentatively titled ''Cinderella Sister,'' which will be broadcast from March.
This is the first time since her debut 10 years ago that Moon will star in a movie or a drama as an antagonist.
In the drama, the 22-year-old Moon, who is often called the ''nation's little sister,'' will treat her half sister poorly, in a role that is the polar opposite of those she has taken on thus far.
Moon's most recent role was on SBS TV's ''The Painter of the Wind'' last year.
