Asiana Airlines will collaborate with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in foreign aid activities and for the success of the G-20 summit.

Asiana CEO Yoon Young-doo and KOICA President Park Dae-won singed an MOU to increase mutual cooperation at Incheon International Airport Thursday. Officials from the G-20 Summit organizing committee and the Presidential Committee for Nation Branding were also present at the event.

Starting July 1, all Asiana boarding passes for international flights will carry a KOICA logo to better introduce Korea's efforts toward increasing foreign aid.

The boarding passes will also contain the official slogan of the G-20 Summit, which will be held in November in Korea.

"Our collaboration reflects Asiana's dedication to fulfilling its social missions," Yoon said.
The airline and KOICA will conduct joint overseas charity projects on a consistent basis.
KOICA will share its experience and know-how on overseas charity projects with Asiana and actively support the airline's charity initiatives in the future.

Since 1994, Asiana has helped needy children around the world in cooperation with UNICEF.

Its staff members have participated in charity events in Vietnam and the Philippines.
Founded in 1991, KOICA is responsible for developing the government's grant aid and technical cooperation programs for developing countries.

Currently, about 1,500 volunteers sponsored by KOICA are conducting missions in 45 countries in the areas of education, environmental protection and technical assistance.
The nation committed $1 billion for official development aid in 2009.

Korea joined the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the OECD, a club of donors last year.
