The hit sports drama "Glove" will make the move abroad this month as it finds distribution in both the United States and Japan.

CJ Entertainment will release the baseball film Feb. 25 in select theaters in the U.S., and CJ Entertainment Japan will follow the lead this summer.

The movie, based on a true story, will be screened first at CGV LA before heading to the AMC franchise in New York, Atlanta, Seattle and other cities for a total of eight locations.

"Director Kang Woo-suk's previous work 'Moss' was very well-received when it was released last year in the U.S.," said a spokesperson for CGV LA.

"Kang not only gained greater recognition from overseas Koreans, but his work received a positive reception from native Americans."
"Glove" follows the story of a group of hearing impaired boys playing competitive baseball. The film stars Jung Jae-young, who plays the role of an arrogant pro pitcher reformed by the personal struggles of the handicapped boys, alongside Jo Jin-woong and Yu Sun.
