A naked woman has been found dead in a park pond in western Seoul.
Police said a passerby reported "a mannequin floating in the pond" at Guam Neighborhood Park in Gayang-dong on Sunday. The woman's clothes and shoes were nearby.
Police identified the body as that of a woman surnamed Lee, 57, a resident of Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu.
Surveillance footage shows a woman, thought to be Lee, walking toward the pond at 11:40 p.m. the day before.
Police said an autopsy would determine the cause of death.
"Guam" is also the pseudonym for Heo Jun, an oriental physician during the ancient Joseon Dynasty in Korea, and the park is well known for its "healing" pond, which is two meters deep and covers 5.1 square kilometers.
