Police requested an arrest warrant for Yang Jin-ho, CEO of WeDisk and robot developer K-Technology, on charges of assault and coercion among other criminal acts, Thursday.
According to police, Yang is also facing allegations that he used illegal drugs.

The Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency took Yang into custody, Wednesday, after obtaining a detention warrant with officers arguing that he was unlikely to voluntarily appear for questioning.
Yang was questioned for four-and-a-half hours that day, and acknowledged abusing and assaulting his employees.
"I admit my wrongdoings. I am truly sorry for creating a public outrage," Yang told reporters.
However, police questioning was cut short as Yang did not want to continue answering into the night, citing exhaustion.
Under police criminal investigation regulations, investigators are banned from questioning suspects from midnight to 6 a.m., barring exceptional circumstances that require filing a detailed report
Some people criticized the move, claiming the questioning should have been pursued further.
"There isn't enough time in a day to thoroughly investigate Yang," a person wrote on social media.
Another said, "A criminal is allowed to rest when exhausted, when he doesn't care about the character and rights of others."
One video filmed in 2016 on a company retreat shows Yang killing chickens with a crossbow and ordering his employees to do the same.
Police confiscated the crossbow, arrows and a sword as evidence, as well as computer files during search of Yang's home and offices last Friday.
Another video shows Yang verbally abusing a former employee in an office and then slapping his face repeatedly. The victim is seen apologizing to Yang on his knees for making comments critical of him on the online bulletin board of WeDisk, a file storage company.
Yang is already under investigation over suspicions his company abetted in the circulation of pornographic materials on WeDisk and Filenori, two popular file storage and sharing sites that he owns.
Police conducted a raid on his properties Wednesday to obtain new evidence related to the investigation.
A group of IT workers said they will also file a complaint with the prosecution regarding Yang's abuse, coercion and violence against the former worker, blasting the "abuse of power."
