Filipino-American K-pop singer Kriesha Chu denies she has had plastic surgery and revealed that she has been suffering from stress-related health issues.

The issue was brought to attention when the singer, 21, appeared at a media event for the upcoming web series "Living with a Ghost," Wednesday. Many were suspicious of her changed appearance, suspecting that swelling on her face was from plastic surgery.

But Chu's agency Urbanworks ENT released a statement denying the rumors, saying that the artist has had lymphedema since December and has been treated with medication.

"It wasn't the best condition for her to attend the event, but she decided to do so," it said.

The agency explained that Chu has been under a lot of stress from working on her comeback album and expanding her career to China.

Chu debuted in 2017 with the album "Trouble," after finishing runner-up on audition show "K-pop Star 6: The Last Chance" the same year. She is expanding her career into acting with a lead role in the romantic comedy "Living with a Ghost," which will go to air through Naver TV in February.
