Actor Daniel Henney's agency has alerted his fans of an internet fraud scheme targeting them.
"Recently we've received information about fraud cases in which a person pretending to be an official of Daniel Henney's agency asked his fans for money on social media," the actor's agency Echo Global Group said in a statement. "We know some had been duped into sending money."
The agency emphasized that neither it nor its officials ever asked Henney's fans for money "under any circumstances" and that "any request for money from a social account seemingly linked to the actor is sheer fraud."
The Korean-American actor and model has starred in many hit dramas and films including "Seducing Mr. Perfect" (2006), "My Father" (2007), "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (2009), "Shanghai Calling" (2012), "The Last Stand" (2013) and "Big Hero 6" (2014).
He will star in the TV series "The Wheel of Time" produced by Rafe Judkins and based on a novel by Robert Jordan. The series is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video.
