The OCN series "Missing: The Other Side" ended with its highest viewership rating on Sunday.

The final episode of the mystery drama series recorded a 4.8 percent rating, more than a 1 percent increase from the previous episode.

The show, starring Go Soo and Heo Joon-ho, started with a 1.7 percent rating on Aug. 29 but steadily grew popular, thanks to its palm-sweating murder-mystery thrillers, tear-jerking stories of the missing victims and compelling performances.

The story revolves around two men ― Kim Wook (Go) and Jang Pan-seok (Heo) ― who see the spirits of dead missing people. They help solve the cases and discover the bodies.

Veteran actor Heo expressed bittersweet feelings after the finale.

"It's always sad to let go of series in the end," he said through his agency Story J Company. "But I've grown really attached to this series and the character, so I think it will especially linger in me for long."
