K-pop girl group BLACKPINK has added six more titles to Guinness World Records, its agency, YG Entertainment, said, Friday.

The band was named the first K-pop female group to reach No. 1 on the albums charts in the U.S. and the U.K., respectively, with its second full-length album, "Born Pink," released last September.

The group also earned recognition for receiving the inaugural Best Metaverse Performance award at MTV's 2022 Video Music Awards (VMAs) in August, for its in-game concert, "BLACKPINK the Virtual," on PUBG Mobile.

Group member Lisa bagged three more Guinness records as a solo artist: first K-pop solo winner at MTV's VMAs and the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), respectively, as well as the K-pop artist with the largest number of followers on Instagram. As of Jan. 19, Lisa had 86.3 million Instagram followers.

Including the six new titles, BLACKPINK has clinched a total of 19 Guinness records as a group and as solo artists combined, including the most subscribers for a music group on YouTube (84 million) and Lisa's single "LaLisa" as the most viewed YouTube music video by a solo artist in 24 hours.

"We look forward to seeing what records BLACKPINK and their members break throughout the rest of 2023," Guinness said on its website.

Since last October, BLACKPINK has been on its world tour, planning to invite 1.5 million fans in total to its shows, the largest number for a K-pop girl group, throughout June this year. Following the U.S. and European cities last year, it is holding concerts in Asia this year.

On Jan. 25, the group performed at a charity concert organized by French first lady Brigitte Macron. In April, BLACKPINK will headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the U.S. and in July, the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival in London.
