LX Hausys is joining hands with Belgian aluminum window company Reynaers to accelerate its advance into the domestic high-end aluminum window market, according to the company, Wednesday.

LX Hausys CEO Han Myeung-ho and Reynaers Vice Chairman Andreas Wilsdorf signed a strategic partnership at the Korean company's headquarters in Seoul.

"We expect that the partnership between Reynaers, which has the best technology in the field of aluminum windows, and LX Hausys, the No. 1 window company in Korea, will create business synergy as well as gain great momentum in targeting the market," LX Hausys CEO Han Myeung-ho said.

Established in 1965, Reynaers is a market leader in Europe and in the global top 3. The Belgian window company is developing aluminum system windows and curtain wall in cooperation with more than 5,000 companies in 40 countries around the world.

Demand for high-end aluminum windows has been increasing steadily, not only in high-end housing complexes, resorts and hotels, but also in apartment complex reconstruction and remodeling projects in Korea.

Through their partnership, LX Hausys and Reynaers plan to cooperate comprehensively in the overall process of developing and launching aluminum window products, including window technology performance, design improvements, fabrication and construction processes and quality verification.

In the second half of this year, both sides will develop ultra-slim windows that minimize the thickness of aluminum frames, high-insulation windows and system windows with high wind pressure resistance capable of withstanding strong winds, for introduction in the domestic market.

"We expect that the two companies will increase their market share in the Korean market together as a perfect partnership in the future and achieve good results from a long-term perspective," Reynaers Vice Chairman Andreas Wilsdorf said.
