VIDEORoad collapse in Seoul's Gangnam District causes chaos

Repairs are underway after part of a roadway collapsed leaving a 3-meter-deep hole with a diameter of 1 meter in the middle of Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam District, Seoul, Sept. 12. According to the police and Gangnam District Office, the incident occurred at around 10:45 a.m. on the road in front of exit 8 of Eonju Station on Seoul Subway Line 9. A removalist truck traveling on the road partially fell into the hole. There were no casualties. It is reported that the hole formed due to road weakening caused by damage to a nearby water pipe.
