AirAsia passengers bound for Malaysia were stuck at Incheon International Airport for more than 27 hours due to technical malfunctions, government officials said on Sunday.
말레이시아행 에어아시아 항공기가 기체 결함으로 인천공항에 27시간 이상 갇힌 상태였다고 정부 관계자가 일요일 전했다.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, its flight carrying 315 passengers had been initially scheduled to take off at 7:35 a.m., the previous day.
국토교통부에 따르면 승객 315명을 태운 항공기는 전날 오전 7시 35분 이륙 예정이었다.

But airline staff opened the boarding gate for passengers some 18 hours after an issue with its engine was rectified.
그러나 엔진 결함이 바로잡히고 약 18시간이 지난 후에야 에어아시아측은 승객들을 탑승시켰다.

Just before leaving the airport, another technical error surfaced. Due to the protracted delay, the pilot permitted the passengers to leave the airplane at around 3:20 a.m., Sunday, and 50 of them did.
그러나 출발 직전 다른 기술적 결함이 발견됐다. 지연이 장기화되자 기장은 일요일 오전 3시20분쯤 승객이 하기할 수 있도록 했고, 50명이 이때 항공기에서 내렸다.

After being stuck inside the plane for an additional seven-and-a-half hours, the remaining 265 people departed Incheon at 10:50 a.m. bound for Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
그대로 타고 있던 승객 265명은 기내에서 약 7시간 30분을 더 대기한 뒤 이날 오전 10시 50분에 쿠알라룸푸르로 떠났다.

An official told reporters that the ministry has been checking whether the Malaysian airline complied properly with the guidelines regarding such issues and took appropriate measures for the passengers affected.
국토부 관계자는 해당 말레이시아 항공사가 지연 상황에서 매뉴얼을 지켰는지, 승객들에게 적절한 조치를 취했는지 등을 확인하고 있다고 전했다.
