LG Innotek demonstrated its leadership as a future mobility leader at this year's CES tech trade show, showcasing technologies used in electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles, such as sensing, network and lighting technologies, the company said Monday.

The company said over 60,000 visitors stopped by its booth during the exhibition period at the world's largest tech show held in Las Vegas last week. This is tripled from the 2023 event, when the company participated for the first time.

The attention of visitors was focused on a mockup of an autonomous vehicle set up at the LG Innotek booth, the company said.

"We focused on showing a mockup that is close to reality so that visitors can understand LG Innotek's technology more intuitively," said John Min, vice president of the company.

LG Innotek, the global leader in the camera module market, also captured the attention of visitors with products that applied their strengths to the automotive field, such as the Sensor Pod, which has autonomous driving cameras, radar, LiDAR and sensors packed into one module, the company said.

In addition to camera modules and sensing technology, LG Innotek also presented autonomous driving communication modules such as LTE/5G-V2X and unveiled Nexlide, a lighting system for autonomous vehicles.

Also, the company operated a private booth and had meetings with carmakers. "We operated a dual private booth and conducted 50 percent more customer meetings than last year," the company said.

"Through this CES, LG Innotek has been able to speed up the securing of potential customers by promoting highly scalable basic technologies while strengthening its position as a leading company in the field of future mobility parts," LG Innotek CEO Moon Hyuk-soo said. "We will establish ourselves as a technology innovation company that makes customers winners through creating distinctive customer value."
