Net Zero 2050 Foundation has joined hands with Happy Bridge to help achieve a carbon-neutral society, the nongovernmental organization said Monday. Happy Bridge is a blockchain-based financial service provider.
Net Zero 2050 Foundation Chairman Jang Dae-sik signed an agreement with Happy Bridge head Park Nam at the nongovernmental organization's office in Seoul, Monday.
Under the agreement, the two sides will encourage their workers to use personal mugs instead of plastic cups, while jointly hosting various social events promoting reducing the use of disposable products.
"We aim to reduce the use of disposable goods across the country," Jang said during the signing ceremony. "We hope more people will use their own cups or mugs while reducing the use of plastics."
Park said his company will actively engage in the nongovernmental organization's mission.
"Happy Bridge will do its best for carbon neutrality by utilizing the firm's near-field communication technology," he said.
