Grammy-winning American pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo is set to grace the Korean stage for the first time on Sept. 20.

As part of her "Guts" world tour, the 21-year-old artist will perform at Jamsil Gymnasium in Songpa District, southern Seoul, starting at 8 p.m.

"Guts" follows her successful "Sour" tour in 2022, which did not feature a stop in Korea.

Rodrigo embarked on her "Guts" journey in February at Madison Square Garden in New York and has since performed in cities across the United States, Canada and Ireland.

The tour will continue its international leg, meeting audiences across Europe and Asia, with scheduled stops in Britain, France, Germany, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.

Ticket presales for the Seoul concert will begin on Thursday and will be available exclusively to Live Nation members. The general public will have access to tickets starting May 17 through Interpark Ticket.

Rodrigo rose to prominence in 2021 with her debut single, "drivers license," winning over younger listeners with her relatable storytelling.

Her talent was recognized at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards in 2022, where she swept the awards for Best New Artist, Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance, solidifying her status as a rising star in the pop music scene.

Rodrigo also is highly regarded among Korean musicians, although her influence has sometimes led to controversies.

Last summer, K-pop singer Choi Ye-na released a track called "Hate Rodrigo," meant as an ironic homage to express both admiration and envy toward Rodrigo. Unfortunately, the approach misfired, resulting in the removal of a music video that featured images of Rodrigo due to a backlash.

In February, girl band Le Sserafim was embroiled in plagiarism allegations when its song "EASY" was said to resemble Rodrigo's 2023 track "bad idea right?"
