A YouTuber who produces videos on exploring mostly abandoned sites that are claimed to be haunted found a dead body during a live YouTube broadcast and reported it to the authorities.

On Thursday, a video titled "May the deceased rest in peace" was posted on the YouTube channel "Dosawoochi." The channel has some 90,100 followers.

The video was edited from a real-time broadcast on the same channel on Tuesday, when Jeon Woo-chi visited an abandoned villa with an acquaintance, and quickly turned on the real-time broadcast after witnessing a serious situation.

"I thought it was a villa without people, but there was a place that attracted attention," he says in the video while heading to a vacant lot behind the villa, where he had found a white car parked.

The YouTuber approaches the vehicle and knocks on the driver's-side window, saying, "I think there's a person in the vehicle, but it's a little weird, so I turned on the real-time broadcast."

After receiving no response even after tapping on the window once again, the YouTuber, named Jeon Woo-chi, and his acquaintance called the police and 119.

Police and fire authorities arrived in about seven minutes to check the situation.

After confirming that the person in the vehicle was not responsive, the fire authorities eventually forced the car door open and found a dead body inside the vehicle.

This is not the first time that a YouTuber has found a body in an abandoned building.

In February 2019, a body was found in an abandoned hospital in Gwangju. In December 2020, a YouTuber who visited an abandoned house in Wonju, Gangwon Province, found one body and reported it.
