The CEOs of Samsung SDI and LG Innotek each hosted events to tap into the global workforce, showcasing their companies' visions to attract talented specialists and skilled professionals.

According to Samsung SDI, the battery maker held the Tech & Career Forum in London, Saturday, which was attended by the company's senior executives, including CEO Choi Yoon-ho and head of R&D Center Kim Yoon-chang.

The Tech & Career Forum is a career fair where Samsung SDI's top executives meet with students from top-rated schools around the world to share the company's vision and recruit the world's best. The event was held for the third time this year, following previous ones in Boston and Seoul in August.

Invited to the latest event were more than 60 students holding master's degrees or doctorates and industry experts from prestigious universities, including Cambridge and Oxford in the U.K., the Technical University of Munich in Germany and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne.

"Investing in human resources is the most important part of the company's growth and future, and we will do our best to create Samsung SDI as the company where talented people can fully develop their capabilities and fulfill their dreams," Choi said during the event.

In San Francisco, LG Innotek held its Inno Connect career fair, inviting 32 doctorate degree holders from more than 20 universities, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University.

LG Innotek CEO Moon Hyuk-soo and other C-level executives of the company attended the event and shared their ideas and roadmap for the company's business with the participants.

The participants expressed interest in the companies' optics, autonomous driving and robotics technologies and their future businesses, including AI services and digital twin technologies, LG Innotek said.

The company said it is focusing on overseas recruitment due to its high reliance on global sales. Approximately 95 percent of the company's revenue in the first half of this year was generated outside of Korea.

"Based on technical innovations driven by experts, LG Innotek is delivering growth based on partnerships with the world's leading clients," Moon said.

"We have a well-structured roadmap for professional growth, along with a wide range of research fields. The company will actively support employees in realizing their dream."
