"APT." by BLACKPINK's Rose and American pop star Bruno Mars is going viral and sparking interest in a drinking game inspired by the song.
The game is also called "APT," which is a short name for "apateu," the Korean term for "apartment."
This is how it works:
1. At least two people are needed to play the game, but it becomes more fun with more players.
2. Players form a circle and begin to chant "apateu" four times together.
3. As the chant is over, the starting player screams a number he/she likes and everyone rushes to stack their hands on top of each other at the center.
4. The player whose hand is at the bottom of the stack moves it to the top while screaming "one." The next person does the same, counting "two," and so on, until the number shouted at the beginning is reached. The person who moves the hand at the final number loses the game, and has to drink. They start the next round by calling a new number.
Rose said she wrote a song about it because she likes the game so much. After the song's release on Oct. 18, Rose also posted video clips on her social media, showing fans how to play the game.
The song is already a big hit, garnering 177 million views on YouTube in the first 10 days of release. The track also took the top spot on both Spotify and Apple Music charts.
Enjoy the game responsibly!
