K-pop girl group IVE is set to make a comeback in January, marking Starship Entertainment's first release of 2025.
The company announced that the group is preparing a new release with the goal of dropping it in January.
"IVE has grown even more with its world tour throughout this year, and we ask for much support for IVE to take another leap forward," the agency said in the press release.
"Evolving to become an 'all-rounder group,' being active on broader stages throughout 2024, including a world tour, IVE is expected to showcase an even clearer identity and diverse performances with the new release."
This will be the group's first release in nine months since it dropped the second EP album "IVE SWITCH." The group's leader An Yu-jin expressed excitement on the long-awaited new release.
"Doing the world tour felt like a dream, with DIVE (fandom name) welcoming us in every city we performed in all around the world. Thanks to them, I was so happy and it was a great time to spend even more precious moments with the members," she said through the agency.
"Though it took some time, we are working hard together with the members and vice president Seo Hyun-joo and many staff to prepare for next year's comeback. I hope everyone anticipates it … and is ready to start 2025 with IVE!"
Since their debut in 2021, the group has continuously topped local and international charts with hits like "ELEVEN," "LOVE DIVE" and "After Like," along with albums such as "I've IVE," "I'VE MINE" and "IVE SWITCH." The group also won accolades in various music awards ceremonies.
The six-piece act — comprised of An, Gaeul, Rei, Jang Won-young, Liz and Leeseo — recently swept three awards at both the 2024 MAMA Awards and 2024 Melon Music Awards, demonstrating spectacular live performances during the ceremonies on Nov. 22 and Nov. 30, respectively.
The group wrapped up its first world tour, "SHOW WHAT I HAVE," which began in October 2023, attracting 420,000 fans with 37 performances in 28 cities across 19 countries. It sold out concerts in venues like KSPO DOME in Songpa District, Seoul, and Tokyo Dome in Japan.
In August, they proved their performing skills and unique musical color on major global stages like Lollapalooza Chicago and Summer Sonic 2024.
Meanwhile, the group welcomed its third debut anniversary on Sunday. It celebrated the milestone with fans through a live stream on YouTube.
Specific details on the upcoming release will be announced through the group's official social media platforms.
