The K-pop girl group GFriend, which disbanded in 2021, will reunite to release a special album, "Season of Memories," next month, in celebration of the 10th anniversary of its debut.
The group's former agency, Source Music, announced on Monday, that the group will be rolling out a new album on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. and prerelease one of its tracks on Jan. 6. It also revealed that GFriend will hold a two-day solo concert on Jan. 18 and 19 at Olympic Hall in Songpa District, Seoul, sharing a teaser poster of the event.
"The special album and concert are part of a project to celebrate GFriend's 10th debut anniversary, brought together by the six members' desire to gift precious memories to their fans," the agency said in the release.
"This project, which will revisit GFriend's numerous hit songs and memories with Buddy (their fandom's name), is expected to be a meaningful opportunity for all music fans," the agency added.
The group shared a clip of the logo motion for the new album on its official YouTube channel on the same day, raising anticipation for the upcoming release. The 21-second clip opens with one of the group's biggest hits, "Me Gustas Tu," accompanied by fans' loud cheers. It then transitions into a graphic of sparkling stars, leading to the unveiling of the team's new logo.

Debuted in 2015 with the EP, "Season of Glass," the six-piece act — comprised of Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB and Umji – has released hit songs like "Glass Bead," "Me Gustas Tu," "Rough" and "MAGO."
The group disbanded in 2021 when its exclusive contract with Source Music ended, with the members announcing that they had agreed to go their separate ways.
"After deep contemplation and thorough discussion, GFriend and the company reached a consensus to pursue paths where each of us can show a better version of ourselves," the agency said as it announced the termination of the group's contract. "Over the past six years, GFriend opened a new generation of girl groups, receiving immense love from K-pop fans through diverse concepts, performances and music."
SinB, Eunha and Umji formed the trio, VIVIZ, under the new management company Big Planet Made, whereas Yuju and Yerin went solo. Sowon made her way into acting.
