BTS' leader RM's first solo documentary film, "RM: Right People, Wrong Place," is debuting Thursday at cinemas all over the world.

The new film has been released across about 110 countries and regions, including Korea, Mexico, France, Australia, the United States, Indonesia and Morocco.

"The film captures the making of RM's second solo album 'Right Place, Wrong Person' and his struggle to find the 'real me' between BTS' leader and solo artist RM and a person Kim Nam-joon," the singer's agency, BigHit Music, said in a press release.

"The film is an honest record of what RM is passionate about and loves. RM personally selected staff in all areas, including music and visuals, completing 'Right Place, Wrong Person' with his own taste."

RM does not hesitate to express his authentic self in the film, confiding that he hopes to love himself more and more.

"I need someone who will bring out the negative stories and personal side in order to continue changing," he said. "I just wanted to tell my story. I believe that to love oneself, one must be most honest with oneself to own the key."

The 79-minute movie takes viewers on the artist's musical journey, showing RM constantly contemplating and communicating with those around him to create his album. With genuine belief and support from those closest to him through the intense process, he takes steps toward his "true self."

Additionally, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews from his solo activities, which are unveiled for the first time, will be shared through the film.

RM began his mandatory military service in December 2023 and is currently serving in the military band. He is expected to complete his service in June 2025.
