Hyundai Motor Group has swept major auto awards in the United States and Britain in recognition of the carmaker's diverse model lineup encompassing small to large vehicles, electric cars and high-performance vehicles, the company said Tuesday.
The carmaker won seven awards at the 2025 What Car Awards in Britain. It has been considered one of Europe's most renowned car awards since its inception in 1978.
The award-winning vehicles included the IONIQ 5N high-performance electric vehicle (EV) and Casper Electric. Hyundai Motor's Santa Fe also received an award in the category of the best seven-seater car. Kia's EV3 compact electric SUV was named the top small EV.
The Sportage also extended its winning streak to three years as the best family SUV, proving its popularity as the bestselling SUV in Britain.
"Hyundai Motor Group has been able to achieve the latest outcome due to our balanced competitiveness in all vehicle lineups," an official from the automaker said.
The company's 23 vehicles also won major awards at the Car and Driver Editors' Choice Awards in the U.S. The awards have been around since 1955 and have a huge influence on U.S. consumers.

The winners include Hyundai Motor's flagship IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 5N EVs in the compact electric SUV segment. The carmaker's Tuscon hybrid SUV won best compact hybrid SUV. A total of nine models from Hyundai Motor won awards.
Kia also received major achievements in various categories. The EV6 electric sedan won an award in the compact electric SUV. Other award-winning models included the carmaker's K5 midsize sedan and Telluride SUV.
A total of seven models from Genesis also received the award, such as the GV70 compact SUV and the G80 sedan.
"We have been recognized for our strong product competitiveness on the global market," the official said. "Hyundai Motor Group will continue to enhance our efforts to satisfy more customers with our various auto lineups."
