The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on Friday the first lineup of artists set to perform at the opening ceremony of Seoul Spring Festa. Scheduled to start on April 30 at Seoul World Cup Stadium, the event, titled Wonder Show, will feature performances by popular K-pop groups, including NCT Wish, The Boyz and n.SSign.
A week-long cultural and tourism festival will take place from April 30 to May 6 across various locations in the center of the capital, including Seoul Plaza, Gwanghwamun Square and near Deoksu Palace. The opening ceremony will showcase a multimedia spectacle combining K-pop performances with dance, laser displays and a drone show.
With significant interest from international visitors, the city plans to livestream the event via KBS' YouTube channel, allowing audiences worldwide to tune in. According to the city, 46 percent of presale tickets were purchased by foreign nationals.
In response to international interest, the show will also be broadcast in 137 countries through KBS World at a later date after the opening ceremony.
Following the presale of tickets, general ticket sales will open at noon on April 4 on the official Seoul Spring Festa website, with a limited batch of 3,000 tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Beyond the opening ceremony, festival-goers can take part in a large-scale nighttime running event on May 3. Starting at Seoul Plaza and passing through Gwanghwamun Square, Gyeongbok Palace and Cheong Wa Dae, the former presidential office, the event offers participants a chance to experience the city's nightscape before concluding with a concert. Reservations for the event, dubbed the Seoul Road Show, will open in mid-April on the festival's official website.
"We hope many will take part in the 2025 Seoul Spring Festa, which will bring the city to life this spring with a dynamic lineup, including K-pop star performances and a vibrant multimedia show at Wonder Show," said Koo Jong-won, director general of the Tourism and Sports Bureau at the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
