An airline passenger claims to have spotted a UFO in the Nevada desert during a flight from California to Texas.
The unnamed man took pictures of the alleged UFO giving off bright light near the top-secret Area 51 military base while flying with American Airlines on Oct. 30.
He reported his sighting to the Mutual UFO Network, a non-profit organization that investigates alleged UFO sightings.
"I saw a large silver disc that appeared to be in the middle of the desert," the man told the organization. "This disc was shooting orb-like lights into the air."
He said he thought he was the only person on the flight who spotted the disc.
"This disc formation on the ground does have the appearance of a landed UFO," Scott C. Waring, editor of UFO Sightings Daily, said.
Meanwhile, the Mutual UFO Network has classified the case as "unresolved".

포착 후 그는 여러 장의 사진을 찍었고 UFO 목격 사례를 조사하는 비영리 단체 Mutual UFO Network에 사건을 제보했다.
그는 “나는 네바다 사막 중간에서 큰 은색 원반을 발견했다”며 “이것은 빛처럼 보이는 둥근 무언가를 공중으로 뿜어냈다”라고 단체에 보고했다.
그는 동료 탑승객들로부터 그 물체를 발견했다는 소식을 듣지 못했기에 자신만이 이 물체를 발견한 것 같다고 덧붙였다.
UFO Sightings Daily의 편집자 스콧 와링은 “이 물체는 땅에 착륙한 UFO의 모습을 하고 있다”고 UFO 주장에 힘을 덧붙였다.
한편, Mutual UFO Network는 이 사건을 미해결 사건으로 분류했다.
