Song Ho-sung, vice president of Kia Motors has been appointed as the new president of the country's second largest automaker. The latest executive reshuffle was made to strengthen the company's growth strategy under new leadership as well as furthering the automaker's future mobility vision.
Song has expertise in the global export market and company's value chain and was previously in charge of Kia's European and global sales management division, the company said.

Along with Song's appointment, Jochen Paesen was announced to lead the carmakers interior design team.
Previously, Paesen was the head of overall design at Chinese electric autonomous vehicle start-up company NIO.
The director will be in charge of developing the interior design of all Kia's models as well as the direction and strategies he wishes to take alongside the automaker's design center chief and Senior Vice President Karim Habib.

Paesen is well known for his work at NIO by designing the super electric car model “EP9”, compact sports utility electric SUV “ES8” as well as the concept car “EVE”, which gained massive attention from the global press and received positive feedback from auto fans from around the globe with its designs that broke with traditional norms, the company said.
Park Han-woo, the automakers current Chief Executive and president will be relieved on April 1.
Park has been the CEO of KIA since his inauguration in November, 2014 and has been appointed as an advisor for Hyundai Group, the company said.
