The second season of tvN's hit crime thriller series "Stranger," slated to air on Aug. 15, will premiere overseas through Netflix.

The streaming platform announced Monday that the series will be available right after the broadcast each week in Asia, Latin America, and English-speaking territories. The full episodes will open in all other territories on Oct. 11.

The 2017 murder mystery, starring Cho Seung-woo and Bae Doo-na, garnered popularity as a "well-made" series, with an intense and compelling story.

The series revolves around a cold-hearted prosecutor (Cho) and a passionate police investigator (Bae) teaming up against political corruption.

Written by the same scriptwriter Lee Soo-yeon, the second season will pick up from the previous season to show the teamwork between the prosecutor and detective.

"Stranger 2" will be aired through tvN every Saturdays and Sundays at 9 p.m.
