Singer Koo Jun-yup of male duo Clon has married Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, according to Koo, Tuesday.

"I'm resuming the love that I had but couldn't realize for a woman I loved 20 years ago," Koo wrote on his Instagram.

He said that they managed to reconnect with each other after he called her with the same phone number he had from 20 years prior, after learning about her divorce.

"A lot of time has passed and I thought we couldn't waste more time. She accepted (my feelings) and we decided to live together after registering our marriage," he said.

The Korean singer and the Taiwanese actress, who is also known as Xu Xiyuan, 46, first met at a Taiwanese singer's concert about 20 years ago. They went out for about a year at the time but then broke up.

She eventually went on to marry Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei in 2011 and had two children with him but then divorced last year.

After beginning to date again, they decided to get married and registered the marriage recently. Koo will soon leave for Taiwan to meet her. The couple have decided not to have a wedding ceremony.

Koo, who debuted in 1990 as a backup dancer, rose to stardom as a member of duo Clon, gaining huge popularity in Taiwan and China in the late 1990s to early 2000s. In recent years, he has continued his success in the entertainment industry as a DJ and artist.

Hsu, who debuted as a singer but switched to acting, is famous for her role in the Taiwanese adaptation of the Korean series, "Boys over Flowers," in 2009.
