Actors Lee Jun-ho and Lim Yoon-a, who are better known as K-pop boy band 2PM's Junho and girl group Girls' Generation's Yoona, will star in the romantic comedy series "King the Land" (working title), according to Npio Entertainment, Wednesday.

It will be the story of a chaebol heir, Ku Won (Lee), who can't stand fake smiles, meeting Cheon Sa-rang (Lim), a hotelier who has to smile all the time regardless of her actual feelings due to her profession.

As the heir of King Group, Ku has everything he needs: wealth, good looks and brains. But he is missing a romantic relationship. Cheon gets a job at King Hotel, the subsidiary of King Group, where she has happy childhood memories, but then experiences difficulties and prejudice there.

"King the Land" is the name of the VVIP business lounge of the hotel.

Shooting will start in fall, and when and on which platform the series will be aired hasn't been decided yet, according to the production company.

Writer Chun Sung-il, whose previous work includes Netflix's hit series, "All of Us Are Dead," will participate in the production.

Lee, who has appeared in several dramas, has established himself as an actor through his lead role in MBC's historical romance series "The Red Sleeve," which had a 17.4 percent viewer rating. Lim has starred in a dozen TV series and films, such as "Confidential Assignment" (2016), "Exit" (2019) and "Miracle" (2020).
