Politicians are joining in with the criticisms made by some Korean football fans against Jurgen Klinsmann, the national team's head coach who 1) has taken flak for his 2) tactics and reactions after Korea's 3) semifinal loss in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup hosted by Qatar.

Rep. Kweon Seong-dong of the ruling People Power Party (PPP) wrote on Facebook Sunday that the public anger against Klinsmann 4) is mounting, and that the Korea Football Association (KFA) should answer this 5) uproar.
권성동 국민의힘 의원은 일요일 페이스북에 클린스만 감독에 대한 대중의 분노가 4) 쌓이고 있으며, 이제는 대한축구협회가 이 5) 논란에 응답할 차례라고 적었다.
"Due to repeated disappointments during the Asian Cup campaign, Klinsmann was criticized for an absence of tactics. There were many concerns from the beginning of his appointment as the national team coach, and this Asian Cup has turned those concerns into reality."
"클린스만 감독은 아시안컵에서 졸전을 거듭하며 전략 부재로 비판 받았다. 애초 국가대표팀 감독으로 임명할 때부터 큰 우려가 있었는데 이번 아시안컵은 우려를 현실로 만들었다."
Kweon continued that Klinsmann faced criticisms due to his continued stay outside of Korea, despite his contract specifying that he should reside in Korea during his 6) tenure.
권 의원은 6) 임기 동안 '한국 상주 '라는 계약 조건에도 클린스만 감독은 잦은 외유로 비판 받았다는 점도 지적했다.
"The national criticisms against him are not about the wins or losses at the tournament. They are about doubts regarding his capability as the national team coach and his 7) negligent attitude toward his job," he said.
권 의원은 "지금 클린스만 감독에 대한 국민적 비판은 승패에 국한된 것이 아니다. 국가대표 감독으로서의 자질에 대한 의구심이며, 그의 7) 안일한 태도에 대한 질타"라고 전했다.
