The film "Handsome Guys," starring actors Lee Sung-min and Lee Hee-jun, will hit local theaters this summer, the film's distributor NEW announced Tuesday.
The horror comedy revolves around Jae-pil (Lee Sung-min) and Sang-goo (Lee Hee-jun), two carpenters who are best friends. Despite their simple and modest personalities, they leave an unforgettable impression with their rough looks.
Dreaming of a peaceful life in the countryside, the couple purchases a new house. However, on the day they move in, a long-concealed secret hidden in the house's basement comes to light.
"As Jae-pil and Sang-goo, the two will unveil extraordinary visuals that no one has ever seen of them," the distributor said in the statement.
Along with the two lead actors, actor Gong Seung-yeon will play the character of a college girl, Mi-na. Actor Park Ji-hwan and Lee Kyu-hyung will play the sheriff and a police officer in the town.
This will be the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Nam Dong-hyup, who was an assistant director for the 2018 drama film "High Society."
Hive Media Corp, the production company behind the hit film "12.12: The Day" (2023) and the 2015 action film "Inside Men," produced the film.
