A man in his 50s was stabbed in front of a court in the southeastern city of Busan while livestreaming on YouTube and later died, officials said Thursday.
The stabbing happened at 9:52 a.m. in front of the Busan District Court when the victim was broadcasting live after a visit to the court. He was found in a state of cardiac arrest and taken to a hospital, but died, officials said.
The attacker, also a man in his 50s, fled the scene in a vehicle immediately after the crime, but he was caught by police about two hours later in the city of Gyeongju, some 70 kilometers away from Busan.
The two men are known to be YouTubers and they knew each other before the incident, officials said, adding they had conflicting relationships.
Police are questioning the suspect about the motive and other circumstances of the crime. (Yonhap)
