A fan of the K-pop boy band Cravity has recently sued the band's bodyguard for assault after being struck on the head at Gimpo International Airport, according to a Korean cable news channel.

Surveillance footage taken by the victim last month and obtained by JTBC shows the private bodyguard pushing fans away while escorting the boy band outside the airport. In the next scene, the victim's camera is shaken hard, indicating force was applied to the victim.

As the boy band gets into the van, loud voices are heard from behind — one presumably from the bodyguard shouting to get out and the following from the woman fan groaning as a result of an assault. This led one of the group members to turn around to see what was happening.

In response to the fan's protest, the bodyguard shouts with aggression: "You hit me, didn't you? Are you crazy?"

Speaking with JTBC, the fan said, "I was too scared to stay around. I ran away. When I got home, I began to feel pain in my head." The fan was later diagnosed with a concussion, JTBC reported.

Starship Entertainment, which manages the band, apologized to fans on the group's fan club webpage, stating, "We've terminated the contract with the security company."

The news only several days after another excessive security scandal involving actor Byeon Woo-seok at Incheon International Airport.

On July 12, bodyguards were found to have turned flashlights on around Byeon in order to obstruct fans from taking photos of him. Additionally, the bodyguards reportedly inspected passports and boarding passes at the entrance of the business lounge where Byeon was waiting.
