The last suspect in the murder of a South Korean tourist in Pattaya, Thailand, was extradited home from Vietnam, after more than four months on the run, officials said Tuesday.

The National Police Agency (NPA) said the suspect in his 30s was brought home early Tuesday.

The man is accused of killing a South Korean traveler also in his 30s and abandoning the body in Pattaya in early May in collusion with two other Koreans.

Police requested Interpol to list the man on red notice and collected tipoffs of his whereabouts through various channels.

The Gyeongnam Provincial Police received leads of the suspect's whereabouts earlier this month, and the police shared this clue with local authorities and dispatched officers to Vietnam.

Police also asked the Vietnamese Embassy in Seoul for cooperation.

Vietnamese police raided the suspect's hideout in Vietnam and arrested him on Sept. 12.

The NPA then requested a speedy repatriation of the suspect, citing the gravity of the crime and public interest in the case.

Another suspect in the case, a man in his 20s, was arrested in the southwestern city of Jeongeup in May, and a third accomplice also in his 20s was detained in Cambodia a few days later before being extradited home on July 10.

The two men are currently undergoing trial with physical detention. (Yonhap)
