Mirae Asset Securities said Sunday its web drama hit 3.2 million views after Season 1 opened in 2021 with the goals of promoting the company's brand and helping familiarize young people with jobs in the financial industry.

Roughly translated as "Future of a company," the series is available on YouTube. It grew in popularity with the release of new seasons over the past four years, including Season 4 which was released in October 2024.

The web drama is most viewed among Generation MZ, a Korean term referring broadly to millennials and Gen Z. They accounted for 68 percent of all views.

It also drew global attention as the seasons went on, with the total number of views outside Korea reaching 350,000.

"The purpose of this web drama is to nurture a healthy investment mindset in young people who watch YouTube," Mirae Asset Securities said.

It assessed that the web drama is becoming "a distinct global cultural content that also raises the company's presence in the global investment sector."

The plot centers on young employees of Mirae Asset Securities, non-rank and file members, who learn about the company's principles, values and other corporate culture as the country's No. 1 player in the securities industry.

The characters also develop their acumen in overseas investment as well as stocks in innovative companies, such as those in aerospace engineering and artificial intelligence.

Through the show, viewers naturally have a chance to get to know about Mirae Asset's major products, such as TIGER ETF.

The ETF brand was named after the first letter of Mirae Asset's five prioritized values in investment — transparency, innovation, general, efficiency and reliability.
