A small fire in the YWCA building in central Seoul forced nearly 200 people to evacuate the premises on Monday.

A fire alarm at the swimming pool construction site in the first basement went off at 9:42 a.m. Firefighters arrived at 10:05 a.m. and extinguished the flames at 10:44 a.m.

An unidentified citizen, who inhaled smoke, is being treated at a nearby hospital.

Police suspect sparks generated while processing wooden materials caused the fire. An investigation is under way.
